Ricardo Cordell Staton's Obituary
Ricardo Cordell Staton, son of Shirley Brown and Lemmy Brown, was
born on June 29, 1951. Ricardo was an only child.
Ricardo was educated in the Saint Louis Public School System.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized and confirmed in
the Catholic faith.
Ricardo was employed in maintenance for several local companies for
several years. He worked until a chronic illness prevented him from
working. He touched the hearts of many and his legacy will be kept
alive. Co-workers, neighbors and friends, all thought highly of him.
Everyone was always happy to receive Swiss Colony Chocolates and a
warm smile at Christmas.
His love of music was contagious. He could speak for hours about
various performers and bands. He loved all genres of music: Soul, R&B,
Blues and Rock, you name it, he loved it.
He was referred to as being friendly, peaceful, a cool dude and really
nice.
Ricardo departed this life on Thursday morning, March 25, 2022 after
emergency surgery. He was preceded in death by his parents
Ricardo leaves to cherish his memory: his uncles ~ Lawrence (Rose Marie),
Leroy (Odessa), Leon (Sharian); aunts ~ Carol, Joyce and Sandra; and a
host of cousins.
