Mr. Robert Edward Daughtery's Obituary
Robert Edward Daughtery, 72, was born February 24, 1946,
in St. Louis, Missouri to Med and Emma (Vinnie) Daughtery.
He was educated at Holy Angels Catholic Elementary School
and Kinloch High School.
After graduation, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy
and began a career as a Medic; Hospital Corps School from
June 9, 1966, to September 15, 1966; Field Medical Service
School from April 21, 1967, to May 23, 1967; ECC for Basic
Military Requirements, Military Qualifications for Petty Officer
Third and Second; and Hospital Corpsman Third and Second
passed Military Leadership for E-4. During his service for his
country, he merited the National Defense Service Medal,
Vietnam Service Medal with Fleet Marine Force Combat
Operations Insignia. He was also awarded the Purple Heart
Medal for wounds received in combat action while in support
of the force of the Republic of Vietnam in their struggle with
the insurgent communist (Viet Cong) forces on February 28,
1968.
Robert was a devoted and loving husband of forty-four years
to his wife, Rosemary (Tracy) Daughtery and a caring father
to their children, Alice, Linda, Lisa, Allen, Patrick and Shamar.
Robert departed this life on March 5, 2018, at home, never
complaining about his ailments.
Robert was an ordained Reverend who served in many
capacities in the churches: Miracle Temple, Hope Church and
Jubilee Worship Center as a minister and a Praise and
Worship Leader.
Robert leaves to cherish his loving memories: wife ~
Rosemary (Tracy); six children ~ Alice Daughtery, Linda
Gilmore (Rick), Lisa Daughtery, Allen Daughtery (Sherron),
Patrick Daughtery and Shamar Daughtery; five sisters ~
Florence Paige, Maryann Williams, Rose Harris, Claudette
Williams (Donald) and Diane Hawkins (William); one brother
~ Med Daughtery, Jr. (JoAnne); eighteen grandchildren and
seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends.
