Roger's grandmother named Ms.Adams use to be our babysitter. My sister Gerry and I were in the same age bracket as Roger and he was our playmate. We had a lot of fund with Roger but lost contact with him when he was twelve years old. His oldest sister Jessie later became our babysitter. Jessie married our Uncle so we were able to reconnect with Roger many years later.
I take comfort in knowing with certainty that God enabled Roger, through final meetings with Jessie, to receive Christ as his personal savior. The scriptures teach us that though our sins are as red as scarlet, Jesus will make them white as snow. Roger may have endured many trials and tribulations during his lifetime like all of us, but he is now resting in peace in the House of the Lord as he has promised all who accept him.
