Roosevelt would always have memories of us being in Washington and when I last spoke to him he remembered me mom and him went to target. I miss you and love you uncle Roosevelt.
My Brother's Keeper
58 years is a long time to watch each others back
58 years of climbing over small mounds and pulling each other over the next mountain
58 years of being there to keep me company even when I didn't want it,but basically needed it when it seemed no one cared. It was a long time of listening to him crack his corny jokes and remember all the old movies (mostly Sandford and Son), remembering movies that mostly everyone had forgotten, that only he could remember. Wishing and dreaming for the day he would (we would)be rich, for he would share whatever he had.
Calling for a ride to go to ten stores and not having money to got to one. After 58 years the answer to the question that I have ask myself, am I my brothers keeper? And now I can say No, for my brother was my keeper and he never gave up.
