Sandra Elise Pearce's Obituary
Sandra Elise Cain was born on August 18, 1959, to Geraldine and Charles Cain in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the baby of six children. Baby Diel, Barry, Lonne, and Derek all preceded her in death. Sandy, as we affectionately called her, was baptized and grew up in the Catholic faith. She practiced the Catholic faith as a teenager and young adult. Later in life, she believed in Jesus Christ and knew Him as her personal Savior. Sandy attended St. Louis public schools until she moved to Detroit with her mother and brothers in 1975. She graduated from McKenzie High School in 1978. She attended pharmacy tech school in 1985 and graduated with her pharmacy tech license that same year. She continued to use her license in her various jobs until she passed. Sandy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1978. She was a Lance Corporal when she received an honorable discharge from Camp Lejeune in 1980. In June of 1980, Sandy gave birth to a baby boy, Terell Cain. Sandy married Brakley Scott in June of 1988, and to this union, one daughter was born, Syreeta Scott. Sandy married Fredrick Cartwright in 1995. This union lasted for 12 years. When Sandy returned to St. Louis back in 2008 it was when she met Byron and they quickly fell in love. Fast forward to 2020, they tied the knot making a beautiful chapter in their lives together. They remained married until her death. Sandy loved music, bowling, shopping, playing cards, and family gatherings. She also loved to dress. You would never see her without her makeup, her hair done, and fully dressed. She loved cooking. She went all out for the holidays, especially at Christmas, which was her favorite holiday. Sandy loved her family. She had three special first cousins who were more like sisters: Michelle, Rhonda, and Rosetta. She had different relationships with each one of them, all uniquely special. She had one honorary sister, Debbie, and one honorary niece, Naytarsha Berry, with whom she also had special relationships. After retiring from Centene, Sandy decided she wanted to do something she really loved. She became an Independent Paparazzi Consultant. She went live on Facebook three times a week until she became ill. During this time, she became very close to Michelle Harris (Gorgeous Klassy Boutique) and Dr. Yolanda Wade. After a brief illness, Sandy answered her Heavenly Father’s call to come home. She answered His call on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Her earthly job is complete. Sandy leaves a legacy of love, joy, and lasting memories. She leaves her loving husband, Byron; her treasured children, Terell (Mia) from Detroit, Michigan, and Syreeta (Steven) from Maryland; five grandchildren, Isabella, Alexandra, Sophia, Steven Jr., and Simone; and one brother, Gerald Goodin, Sr., from St. Louis, Missouri
