Sandra L. Redmond's Obituary
Sandra Louise Jackson Redmond was born on August 30, 1952, to Willie B.
(Deceased) and Romona Jackson in Henderson, Kentucky. She accepted
Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was baptized by the
late Pastor George Sebree of First Baptist Church of Meacham Park. Sandra
attended Rose Hill Elementary, Nipher Junior High, Kirkwood Senior High
School and Meramec Community College.
She was employed by Chrysler Corporation and Maryland Heights Government
Center. Sandra later met her loving husband and best friend, Glenn Redmond.
They were married November 14, 2012 and were inseparable. Whenever you
saw one, the other would be right behind. They loved to shop together and
watch old cowboy movies. Sandra also loved to cook. Some of her favorite
dishes to make were macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes and the best 7-Up
Cake you have ever had! It was delicious! She enjoyed sewing, working in her
yard, and taking care of her flowers and plants inside the house. Many people
would tell her she had a green thumb. Another talent of Sandra's was playing
the piano, and one of her favorite songs was “How Great Thou Art”.
As Sandra became ill, Glenn was right beside her, taking care of her. She
would say that Mr. Wilson, as she often called her father, is watching over her
and she is safe in Jesus' arms. She would tell her siblings, "This battle is not
mine, it is the Lord's, and to be absent from the body is to be present with the
Lord!"
