Theodore Beckum's Obituary
Theodore (Teddy) Beckum was born April 13, 1941 to the late Bee
and Fannie Mae Beckum, Sr. He was the fifth child born to this
blessed union.
Theodore attended Moore High in Crawford, Mississippi until he
decided to relocate to St. Louis, Missouri around 1961. Theodore
worked for General Motors as an Assembly Line Worker for about
ten years where he eventually retired.
Theodore was united in holy matrimony on February 26, 1972 to
Marjorie Carrothers and to this union he became the legal guardian
of Marjorie's son and one child was born.
He was full of life and would talk to anyone he came across and
would leave a lasting impression. He always had a great time
wherever he went.
He departed this life at the age of 75 years at DePaul Hospital in
Bridgeton, Missouri. His parents, one sister, Vera Smith, two aunts,
Emma Young and Dora Ann Davis, an uncle, Otha Beckum, and one
brother, Ollace (Christine) Beckum preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife ~ Marjorie J. Beckum;
one daughter ~ Danette S. Beckum; one son ~ Errol B. Beckum;
brothers ~ Earl (Vernadeen) Beckum, Wallace Beckum, Ollace
(Christine) Beckum (deceased), Douglas Beckum, Daniel Beckum,
B.J. Beckum and Clarence (Erope) Beckum; sisters ~ Vera Smith
(deceased), Doretha (Charlie) Williams and Emma Beckum; nine
grandchildren ~ Madisynn, Chris, Earl, Brian, Mercedes, Kindall,
Porsha, Errol Jr. and Er'montie; a host of nieces and nephews; two
godchildren ~ Dana Guyton and Darnell Kindle; and special
neighbors ~ Rochelle Williams, Jason Williams and Chris Williams.
