Mrs. Tracy W. Henry's Obituary
a McCullem, Ozella Smith, Magnolia Smith, J .T. Smith, Morris Smith, Sr., W.L. Smith
and Hosea Smith. She leaves to cherish countless memories and honor her legacy: her devoted and
loving children ~ Nina Elaine Smith and Glen Bernard Smith; three granddaughters ~ Darneshia,
Ky’ani, and Brittany; one great-grandson ~ Prince Jimmy; her dear friend ~ Sadie Maxwell; and a host
of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tracy Waslington Henry
Tracy Wadlington Henry was born on December 3, 1968, and departed this life, Saturday,
February 3, 2024. Tracy was one of four siblings born to Frankie Shepherd. Tracy's mother
preceded her in death. Tracy was born in Oxford, Mississippi and in her younger years she
relocated to Saint Louis, Missouri.
Tracy was united in holy matrimony to Garry Henry in 1991 and in 1996 they proceeded to have
one son: Cameron Henry. Tracy loved spending quality with her family. She would regularly host
different events at her home such as birthdays, and holiday gatherings. Traveling was another one
of Tracy's deepest affections. Not only to see new destinations, but to create unforgettable
memories.
Before retirement, Tracy was an insurance agent for Lutheran Trust Insurance Company. Post
retirement, Tracy wanted to become closer to God & strength her walk with Christ. She became a
member of Liberty Community Bible Church under the leadership of Pastor Henry Tarver. She
was a faithful servant of Liberty Community Bible Church for more than a decade.
Tracy played multiple roles in her time with Liberty's congregation. She was known as the
"Announcement Clerk" who would read the weekly announcements during service to keep
everyone informed on upcoming festivities and additional services. She was also the orchestrator
of the Liberty
Community Bible Church Facebook page where she would post pictures from church activities,
dates & times for upcoming events, and sermons from Pastor Tarver to continue to spread the
word of God. Her favorite song was "Never Would've Made It" by Marvin Sapp and she always
kept it in her spirit.
Tracy Wadlington Henry leaves to celebrate her life: her devoted husband of thirty-two years ~
Garry Henry; one son ~ Cameron Henry; four siblings ~ Gladys Faye Bryant, Bruce Wadlington,
Flora Dickens and Jimmy Payne; three aunts ~ Louise Redman, Margret Redman and Matty
Gibson; two uncles ~ Frank Gibson and Lacy Redman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and
dear friends. Although it may be heartbreaking that Tracy has transition, let's not mourn that she is
no longer here but let's rejoice the times we were able to spend with her
