William L. Moore III's Obituary
William “Leon” Moore, III blessed his parents, William L. Moore, Jr. and
Celestine Littlejohn Moore as their first child on August 16, 1967 in Saint
Louis, Missouri. He was the oldest son of four siblings. He was preceded in
death by his brother, Pedro Orlando Moore; his sister, Audrey Vernita Lawson
and grandparents, Richmond and Lucille Littlejohn and William and Kate
Moore.
Leon, age fifty-one, departed this life on Monday, August 5, 2019 after a brief
stay at Evelyn’s House in St. Louis, Missouri.
Leon professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized under the
leadership of Rev. Dr. D. W. Jordan, Pastor of Christ Baptist Church. He later
joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Oliver K. Patterson
where he remained until his passing.
He attended public school in Saint Louis County and was an alumnus of
Normandy High School Class of 1986.
After a longtime relationship with Juanita Oates; a son, Leon Terron Moore was
born. Leon was united in Holy Matrimony to ShaRhonda Patterson Moore and
to this union a daughter, Cheryl Celeste Moore was born. He later married
Stephanie Tucker Moore in June 2017.
Throughout Leon’s life he was known as a people’s person. He lived in the
moment, was never speechless and never met a stranger. As a child each
summer, he couldn’t wait to spend it in Memphis, Tennessee with his
grandparents, Richmond and Lucille Littlejohn, cousins and friends. Leon was
the life of the party and a wonderful friend with a heart full of gold. His
