Yvette Watson's Obituary
Yvette Watson was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the parents of Herbert
Hoover Watson, and Lois Lee (Edwards) Watson. She was preceded in death
by her parents; brother, Rene’ Watson; grandparents, James and Ida Edwards;
Hannah Butler and Major Watson; and nephews, Kerry D. Melton, Jr. and
Michael C. Hayes, Jr.
She attended Hubert Wheeler High School. She was so happy to get her
official class ring. Yvette loved rings and bracelets, shoes and handbags.
Pretty much like other ladies. (lol).
Yvette was a member of Victory Christian Church and was born again in 1965.
Yvette had different nicknames. “VET”, “Vessie”, and “Y-vette”. She responded
to all of them. Yvette loved her family and would protect them at all costs. She
would often let you know how she felt about what you said to one of her loved
ones. Yvette always wanted everyone to get along and not argue and fuss.
Yvette loved baking. Once she learned to bake a 7-up pound cake it was her
specialty. Her work history was with Work Shops of America.
Yvette didn’t have children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews and
her dog NIP. Yvette was a fan of electronics, she wanted the best on the
market, from iPad to cell phones to computers.
Yvette enjoyed her monthly breakfast outing with Junie. Her favorite
restaurant for pancakes was IHOP. Bacon, eggs and a double stack and a
Sprite (no ice). Yvette loved listening to music and to travel and see new
things and experience new adventures. If the car was rolling, she was in it.
Yvette will be missed for her kind heart, her laugh and smile.
