Jamar W. Huffmon's Obituary
Jamar Willie “J-Rocc” Huffmon made his grand entrance on March 25, 1978 in
Saint Louis, Missouri. He was the oldest son of Willie and Barbara Huffmon.
Jamar grew up in the Florissant area, surrounded by the love of family and
friends.
Jamar accepted Jesus Christ at an early age receiving his First Communion from
St. Christopher Catholic Church. He attended McCluer North High School his
freshman year and transferred to Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School,
where he graduated in the Class of 1996. After graduating high school, Jamar
attended Southern University and Lincoln University and later enlisted in the U.S.
Navy. Upon returning home, Jamar was a licensed and highly skilled barber, and
later enrolled in Ranken Technical College, where he received an Associate’s
Degree of Technology in Control Systems in May 2011. He was a faithful
employee at Mitek Industries in Saint Charles, Missouri. Even after receiving his
Associate’s Degree and working in that field, Jamar never stopped giving his
clients a clean cut at Mane Coarse Barber Shop.
Jamar met his true love, Sherri Carter, in 2001 and out of their union was born a
son, Jamarion Huffmon. Together they created a loving and supportive homelife
full of family trips, shopping excursions, youth baseball games, track and field
meets, and great times spent with friends and extended family.
Jamar’s life was always full of exciting activities. Growing up, he participated in
several youth sport activities including track and field, dance, baseball, soccer,
and basketball. Jamar received numerous awards and certificates in all
