Katherine James' Obituary
On December 14, 1956, Mrs. Katherine D. James was born to Mr. Oscar
James and Ms. Pearline Dean in St. Louis, Missouri.
Katherine confessed hope in Christ at a young age at Morning Star Missionary
Baptist Church.
Katherine received her education through the Saint Louis Public Schools
where she graduated from Central High School. She also studied Criminal
Justice and Paralegal at Forest Park Community College.
Katherine was employed with Human Resources Command for over thirty-five
years. She was also employed with Brown Shoe Company and Busch Stadium.
She enjoyed eating at the Waffle House, The Best Steak House and Red
Lobster. She also enjoyed movies, playing bingo, traveling and most
importantly, her family.
She was preceded in death by one son, Mr. Jaron Tuggle; father, Oscar James
of Bloomberg, Texas; two sisters, Betty House and Joyce Dean, both of
Missouri; two brothers, David and Richard James; niece, Johnette “Nikki”
Dean; and nephew, Darrion House.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons ~ Alamarr “Al” Meadows Andre
Meadows both of Missouri; mother ~ Ms. Pearline Dean; brothers ~ Earl Dean
and Charlie Dean; sisters ~ Barbara James-Cochrell, Shirley Dean and
Neechelle Dean-Gills (Oliver); special daughter ~ Mia Jones; special nephew ~
Thomas “Peanut” Daniels (Kinnuady Daniels, Darrien Daniels); grandkids ~
Taylor Strickland, Aleyah Meadows, Elijah West and Josiah Meadows; nieces ~
Tijuana Jones, Shannon Daniels and Natasha Roland (James); nephews ~
Anthony (Tony) Dean, Jerome (Poe) Dean, Travis Dean and Keenan Gills
(Kristin); a host of great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews
and special friend ~ Patricia (Pat) Edmund.
