Katherine G Morrow's Obituary
Katherine “Tiny” Morrow was born Wednesday, March 29, 1950 in
Mississippi to the union of the late Nathaniel Dilworth, Sr. and
Marjorie Dilworth. Katherine “Tiny” Morrow , departed from this life on
Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was a caring wife, mother, grand/
great-grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin and friend.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of
Christ The King Church of Christ in Florissant, Missouri.
Katherine was united in Holy Matrimony to James A. Morrow, Sr. in
1984.
Katherine had a passion for singing with her family, in the church
choir and enjoyed her solos’. Some of her favorite songs were: His Eye
Is On the Sparrow, Amazing Grace, Order My Steps and R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
by her favorite artist Aretha Franklin.
She loved sewing and was a seamstress at heart. She created her
own ensembles from scratch and was at peace while doing what she
loved. She had an eye for detail and always added her personal touch
to any outfit. She created prom dresses, formal wear, suits, and casual
attire for any event she attended. Katherines signature statement
pieces were created using fabrics with bright, vibrant, and colorful
prints. Her outfits were not complete without a fashionable stylish hat
and earrings (she never left the home without wearing both).
Katherine enjoyed reading her bible devotionals daily throughout the
day, she started and ended her day with a prayer. Listening to oldies
but goodies on the radio, sitting on the front porch greeting the
passerby’s, completing cross word puzzles and creating art pieces for
her home. She did not miss a day without watching her favorite TV
shows, Jerry Springer, The Munk and Murder Mysteries. She enjoyed
watching (listening while covering her eyes) scary movies with her
grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters ~ A. Machelle
Sykes, Inga Miller (Theo) and Shawna “Tasha” Sykes; one son ~
Jardin C. Hurst (Angel); sisters (brother), grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives
and friends who will miss her dearly.
