Ronald Perry Jenkins' Obituary
Ronald Perry Jenkins was born on April 27, 1945 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the union of Ruby (Perrin) and William Jenkins, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, William Jenkins, Sr. and sister, Lavonia Jenkins.
Ronald confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pilgrim Rest Church.
Ronald received his elementary school education at Divoll School and attended Soldan High School, where he received his high school diploma.
Ronald enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War Era. He went on to attend Northeast Missouri State College, where he obtained his Bachelors of Science in 1972 and Master of Arts in 1982. While attending Northeast, Ronald became a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Incorporated . Ronald was a Mason and obtained his 32°.
Ronald worked at Nasco Company and at Florissant Valley Community College in the Veterans Program. He worked most of his career as a dedicated employee of the City of Saint Louis in various departments, including Public Health and as a member of the Neighborhood Stabilization Team.
Ronald was a kind and humble man; a good son and great father. He faced many challenges in life, but always tried to look for the positive aspects of life. He rolled with his family.
On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, he entered into a new phase of life. He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter ~ Nicole Erica Jenkins; two grandchildren ~ Rylie Harris and Braylen Simmons; his mother ~ Ruby Jackson; one sister ~ Patricia Jackson; one brother ~ William Jenkins, Jr. (Deborah); two special nephews ~ Larry Jenkins, Sr. and Larry Jenkins, Jr.; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends whom he loved dearly.
