My cousin Willie was my inspiration to work for the Postal Service, right after I separated from the Air Force. Because of his wise counsel, I stayed there and eventually retired from there. I would always tell him how much I appreciated his advice. Even got the chance to work at the station, one time. He was a great and supportive cousin to me, and I'll never forget that. I will never forget the Summers we went to Arkansas to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Huffmon. Uncle Willie and Uncle Sam were still at home with them! We walked a little ways, not far to Grandma's brother Uncle/Aunt Tyler and all our cousins that were like our sisters and brothers! Daddy and Mama would take us to see our Stewart family, too! Arkansas hospitality is still the same and some people have moved still showing that hospitality!
Uncle Willie was a awesome husband, father, brother and uncle. He will be missed but I know he is in a better place, no more pain!
I NatoshaMurphy, Willie Huffman niece just want to let family and friends know that uncle Willie was the best track and field coach ever. He use to tell me that we going to put them long legs to the test and I ran, jumped hurdles. It didn't matter what I was doing as long as I was going to practice and our games just to be with lil cousin Willie's 2 sons and having fun. Rest easy uncle Willie...

Willie was one of the nicest, kindness,
friendliest, person I have ever known. He was always trying to be helpful and making you feel at home. He was what you call a true "Southern Gentleman".
He was truly a loving/devoted husband to his wife Barbara and a great father to his Sons Jamar and Jelani. He will be missed he touched so many people by demonstrating acts of kindness. Job well done Willie rest in peace 👏.
